About Us

Alpha Kappa Psi is a Co-Ed Professional Business Fraternity dedicated to providing a professional and social environment where its brothers can thrive. Founded in 1904, Alpha Kappa Psi is the nation's oldest and most prestigious business fraternity. Our chapter at Michigan State University was founded in 1952 and is one of over 200 college chapters across the nation. Today our chapter is dedicated to furthering the individual welfare of its members through a variety of professional and social activities.

On a professional level, Alpha Kappa Psi supplies its members with opportunities to develop their budding careers. In recent years, our chapter has produced interns and full-time employees with companies such as Microsoft, Disney, Ernst and Young, Apple, Target, IBM, Groupon, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Eaton, KPMG, Sears Holdings, Marathon, Ford, Red F Marketing, Starwood Hotels, Deloitte, Thomson Reuters, Oracle, Nestle, Dell, Siemens, Oshkosh, Diageo, Kimpton Hotels, Domino's Pizza, BlueCross BlueShield, Coyote Logistics, and Northwestern Mutual. Relationships with alumni provide networking opportunities and professional contacts, both of which are invaluable in the business world. In addition, each semester we bring in speakers from well-known corporations like these to give private presentations and accept resumes. We also take an annual professional road trip to Chicago that includes a leadership development program for our members. Each new pledge is given guidance in creating a resume, conducting job interviews and overall professionalism. Finally, faculty of the Eli Broad College of Business are members of our fraternity and advise our officers and members.

Alpha Kappa Psi offers its members leadership opportunities both within the fraternity and externally on campus. Our Executive Board, Presidential Appointments, and Committees all offer excellent opportunities to assume leadership positions. We also give back to the community through volunteer work and philanthropy events such as our charity golf outing each spring. Another important aspect is the brotherhood that's developed within the fraternity. This friendship and camaraderie is extremely helpful in class, where you will almost always have brothers to study with.

Finally, Alpha Kappa Psi offers a great social environment for its brothers. As the only Co-ed Business fraternity in the Inter-Fraternity Council, our brothers enjoy the many activities of the Greek system. We also participate extensively in most intramural sporting activities. Our house on Louis Street offers an informal haven for our brothers at any time.

Alpha Kappa Psi not only offers a major advantage in the professional world, but also friendships that will last a lifetime.
